Job Description

Purpose of Role

As a Trust Manager you will be part of the delivery team to ensure that the annual tax compliance work is completed and to start to identify planning opportunities and work in a team delivering for a wide ranging portfolio of clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high quality service to clients & attendance at client meetings
  • Responsible for a portfolio of trust clients & preparing reports for clients.
  • Reviewing of Trust accounts, Trust returns, inheritance tax returns.
  • Advising Trusts on distributions and Tax regimes and managing the client relationship
  • Ensuring administration of the portfolio is completed including all aspects of compliance, accounts, tax returns and tax computations.
  • Ensuring Evelyn Partners procedures on annual tax cycle are complied with collating and maintaining client information
  • Provide support to your colleagues on chargeable and non-chargeable work when required
  • Provide link in chain to supervise staff members below and support Directors above.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

  • ACA/CTA/STEP or equivalent qualification.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience gained within a professional services firm.
  • Experience of working in a Trusts focused team.
  • Good knowledge of personal tax compliance and ideally some exposure to planning/advisory work.
  • Must be able to plan workload to prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines and cope with pressure.
  • Good written communication skills are necessary to draft correspondence with clients and HMRC to explain technical issues in an easily understandable manner.
  • Must have good inter-personal skills to be able to liaise with clients and other staff members.
